Guys and Dolls - April 06 - April 08, 2017

Loveland High School

 The Directors

Nicole Steketee, Director & Music Director

Ms. Steketee is excited to be directing her second musical production at Loveland High School. She is so proud to be the choral director and musical director at a school in Northern Colorado, having grown up just north of Loveland! She regularly participated in theatre and music throughout grade school, and continued her passion through college. Her first real musical she performed in was Guys and Dolls, where she played Sarah Brown, and she is so excited for the opportunity to work on this show again! Thank you to Mrs. Bieser for being the best assistant director and friend, and to Mr. Saccardi for always showing his support and giving her a good laugh! She would like to wish all the seniors the greatest send-off with this show! This show wouldn't have been possible without them and our wonderful student choreographer! Lastly, Ms. Steketee thanks her best friends, and her wonderful boyfriend, Mr. Ceciliani for understanding her crazy schedule; her sister for her constant support; and most importantly, her parents, Ed & Suzanne. The whole design of the set is her dad's work, and she is so thankful to have him around! She couldn't have come this far without their unwavering support with everything she does and their willingness to jump right in and still be involved with choir concerts and musicals (you're never going to get out of it!). So sit down (you're rockin' the boat) and enjoy the show!

Karen Bieser, Assistant Director

This is Mrs. Bieser's third show at LHS. She is the Act 2 club sponsor as well and will be directing one acts along with Brandon Marshall May 13th! Come check out the two shows! Mrs. Bieser was extremely active in theatre and choir during high school and as a teacher has been part of a directing team for the past eight years. Although she has done a variety of shows, she loves Guys and Dolls more than a bushel and a peck. This is because of the amazing cast; their dedication, humor, and talent impress her daily and make the long days not feel so terribly long. Working with Ms. Steketee again has been a phenomenal experience. Not only did Stek help design a beautiful set (along with Papa and Mama Stek, of course), work tirelessly on vocals, and devote hours towards advertisement, she made all directors feel like a part of the team. Thanks, Stek! Bieser would also like to thank her husband for always waiting to eat dinner with her and for understanding that "being home at 6:30" is never accurate! She would like to also send a shout out to the amazing seniors. You will be missed! A special thanks to our amazing student choreographer!
