Charles Shay (Director)
Shay (Director/Producer) Shay has found joy and blessings to be working with the Olions Thespian Troup here in Los Alamos. A graduate of Theatre and Film from UCSD he has continued to follow a passion for storytelling and education. His love of Theatre and storytelling has led him to teach in multiple States in the US, as well as spending time teaching in Nepal, Costa Rica and Mexico. He has had the pleasure to see the Olions achieve state success at the Pope Joy Awards in 2016, 2017, 2018 and looking forward to 2019. As well as State One Act Championships and working with several gifted students reach the National level of competitions for the International Thespian Society. When not working with students to nurture their storytelling gifts, he has 4 amazing kids of his own who are emerging as smart little beasts. When time affords he finds himself writing and publishing short stories, poems and graphic novels.

Jason Rutledge (Music Director)
Jason Rutledge is in his sixth year of teaching at Los Alamos High School. During his tenure here, his choirs have consistently received superior ratings at music assessments and State Contest, including being named 5A State Champions in 2015 and 2017. Choirs under the direction of Mr. Rutledge have also performed on national stages, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, as well as internationally at halls and cathedrals in Berlin, Leipzig, Prague, and Vienna. Jason is also the theatre tech teacher and musical theatre director for Los Alamos High School. Mr. Rutledge received his degree in vocal music education from the University of Arkansas. He is happily married to his wife of 12 years, Kristine. They have two dogs and a cat whom get more love and attention than is probably sane. When he is not teaching choir he is actively traveling the world with his wife and sharing their passion for nature, cultural experiences, and food with their followers on Instagram.

Jeremy Bleich (Pit Conductor)
Jeremy teaches middle school and elementary orchestra in Los Alamos Public Schools, is involved with presenting new music through his Grasshopper Music company, is currently the Music Director for Lifesongs, a program of The Academy for the Love of Learning, and develops children's operettas through the Santa Fe Opera. He holds a degree in music composition from Cleveland State University.
