DIRECTORS NOTES
It is 1959 and tone deaf Hollywood Film sensation Jessica Cranshaw is headlining in Robbin’ Hood, Carmen and Sid Bernstein’s latest musical, a western, saloon stomping version of the classic Sherwood Forest tale. Opening night, disaster strikes: murder! Enter Broadway Musical Theatre buff Detective Frank Cioffi of the Boston Police Department who immediately places the entire cast and crew under house arrest until the murderer is caught!
Lord Byng Theatre Company welcomes you to our latest foray into Musical Theatre with this fun filled frolic of a murder mystery musical. It’s campy and clever and full of song and dance, with a dash of romance for good measure. For us as directors, there is nothing that would make us happier than for you to smile a lot and “sit there and clap.” It has been our pleasure to work with this year’s actors and crew of Theatre Company who are, indeed, a “special kind of people known as Show People,” as Cioffi would say.
Finally, we cannot do what we do here in Theatre Company without Logan Herbert, and most especially Darren Hales; these two gentleman go above and beyond and are a huge part of what makes the magic you see before you on our stage possible.
Enjoy the show!
