This year’s production of “The Lion King” is the first of it’s kind at Lone Oak Elementary. The 3rd grade students and Mr. Davidson (AKA Mr. D and Mr. Music) would like to acknowledge the following for their work with us on the very first Broadway Musical at Lone Oak Elementary School.

  • Mr. Pope for allowing us to venture into a new area of musical productions and for his years of leadership that lead to a program of this caliber.
  • Mrs. Blackwell for countless hours working with the 3rd grade students on their drama and dance parts in the musical.
  • Mr. Smith for creating the backdrop, mask, and various other items needed for the musical.
  • Mrs. Keeling for pulling the curtain and keeping us in line behind the curtain.
  • Mr. Hedges for motivating us to do our best and making sure we act that way.
  • Our 3rd grade teachers for allowing us time to rehearse during the school day and helping us learn our music by playing it in the classroom.
  • Ms. Brijit Stiles for putting together the playbill and making sure it is the best it can be and taking pictures before and during the performance.
  • Mrs. Nicki Lynch for gathering ads for the playbill and doing those extra little things that help make it all work out.
  • Mrs. Tara Moore and the face paint crew for making sure we look good for our parts.
  • Mrs. Anne-Marie Whitis for getting the t-shirt order for us because we look good.
  • Mr. Jason Orr for cutting out the medallions and building “pride rock” for us.
  • Mrs. Shae Weitlauf for making our African kente fabric belts.
  • Mrs. Darla and Mrs. Holly for taking phone calls and paperwork for the musical.
