Ken Ludwig's Treasure Island - August 11 - August 13, 2022

Little Falls Theatre Company

 Director's Note

For the past 140 years, Treasure Island has been a story told again and again. This treacherous tale has shown old and young alike just how complex our world and the people in it can be. The story of Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver, with his rag bunch of pirates, has taught us that the good and the bad, well, they can be hard to tell apart.

This show is a complex one, relying on a multitude of locations and characters to move the story. The cast and crew have worked extremely hard, portraying multiple characters as well as changing the set to be something different right before our eyes. I could not be prouder of the work everyone has put in. Being an old story also gave its challenges. Breathing new life into this lifelong tale was extremely important, and I believe we have succeeded in that today.

The show has been a crazy but overall extremely rewarding process, and I wouldn’t have wanted to share it with anybody else. To my cast and crew, Thank you for putting up with me learning as we went. I cannot say thank you enough times for being a part of my first directing experience and you all hold a special place in my heart.

I hope you all enjoy the show!
