Jill Henwood is delighted to be back directing again at Liberty Union Musical Theater. Jill is a 1995 graduate of Liberty Union and has been a part of three LU musicals (Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Matilda) and choreographed countless show choir, Ensemble and Pops Concert performances over the years. She is a board member, director and performer for Millersport Community Theatre, and a committee member and director for Victoria Players Children’s Theatre. Jill was honored to win the Spirit of Community Theatre award from the Ohio Community Theatre Association in June of 2021.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Emily Fisher for her support and the opportunity to help create productions on the LU stage. This school district is blessed to have her at the reins of the vocal music department. Additionally, thank you to the school board and staff members who made this post-shutdown performance possible. I will never forget my Matilda years. Thank you for letting us close this show with such grace! Lastly, thank you to my cast, crew, parents and many helpers and volunteers. Without you all, none of this would be possible. These kids are amazing and have worked so hard for this show. I can’t wait for you to see the magic they will bring to this stage. On with the show!”

It has been one of the greatest joys of my career to be able to help make musicals happen once again at Liberty Union. This community has been tremendously receptive to the growth of this program, and through your support we have created opportunities throughout the years for hundreds of children of all ages to participate.
We have a purely magical combination of extraordinary staff members responsible for this show. Our students are privileged to work with such devoted and talented adults who have helped make this production come to life.
Finally, our students in the cast and crew are simply the best you could ever ask for. It is our joy to work with these kids in rehearsal every day. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the summer!
