Liahona Preparatory Academy

 End Notes

Making Friends is one of the hardest things for a lot of people to do in this lifetime.  When I was child, this was something that I struggled with personally.  In this musical, Stephen Schwartz takes us on an adventure inside the head of a young boy who is struggling with this exact thing.  After moving to his new neighborhood, young Louie does not know what to do in order to make new friends.  Though he has been on the other side of things in the past, specifically in befriending and welcoming Archie to his old neighborhood, Louie doesn't know how to handle being the new kid himself.

Being the "New Kid" Is something that will never go away in our lives.  Whether it is at a new school, work, a new job, new neighborhood, we all will experience sometimes being the "New Kid."

Additionally, we will all have many opportunities to welcome the "New Kid" into our lives.  We hope that during this performance you will sit forward and pay attention to the different welcoming strategies that these children use in order to welcome the "New Kid." Throughout the show.

Thank you for supporting the arts at Liahona!
