Matt Glickstein

Executive Director/Music Director

Matt Glickstein is the founder of the Lana'i Academy of Performing Arts (LAPA). He co-wrote the music for Island Below the Star, an original children’s musical, with Grant Choo. Since then, Matt has served as music director for 101 Dalmatians KIDS (2014), Annie Jr. (2014), Getting to Know...The Sound of Music (2015), Shrek the Musical Jr (2016), Lion King Jr. (2017), and Cinderella KIDS (2017).
Adam Beckwith

Director

Adam is a high school special education teacher at Lanai High and Elementary School. He was born in Vermilion, Ohio and has been involved in music and theater as an actor and singer. Directing credits include LAPA’s productions of Getting to Know…The Sound of Music (2015), Shrek the Musical Jr, (2016), Lion King Jr. (2017), and Cinderella KIDS (2017).
Jamie Hale

Choreographer

After completing her degree at SUNY Brockport, Jamie traveled as a professional dancer in and out of the United States with different dance companies. She joined us on Lana'i as a special education teacher and enjoys sharing her passion for dance and education with our students. Jamie has been helping with LAPA for several years now, including with choreography in Lion King Jr.
Michelle Work

Assistant Director

Aladdin Jr. is Michelle’s first LAPA show. She has been involved in theater since she was a child. Formerly a professional actress, Michelle has been involved in a number of movies and commercials, her most notable work being The Night Stalker movie.
Amanda deJetley

Costumes

Amanda deJetley was raised on Lana’i, homeschools her two daughters, and is a supervisor at the Lana’i Cat Sanctuary. She has been a LAPA mom for 6 years and began helping with costume makeup 5 years ago, painting little black noses on a bunch of Dalmatian puppies!
