Le Easter (Director)

Le Easter is a twenty four year veteran Theatre teacher with Austin ISD. This is her ninth year at Lamar Middle School and she is honored to be their Teacher-of-the-Year. She’s the instructor for Intermediate Performance, Advanced and Spotlight Theatre Productions, and co-teaches Musical Theatre with Ms.Wood. She has a BFA in Theatre from Texas State University (SWT, to you and me) Easter would like to shout out to all of the Lamar alumni that taught her so much with our musicals: Fame!Jr, Cinderella, Seussical Jr, Willy Wonka Jr, Aladdin Jr, Once Upon a Mattress, and Matilda Jr. She thanksMs.Kennell, Ms.Wood and the Cast & Crew of Shrek for their hard work and Theatre Booster Club for their amazing support.

Michel Kennell (Musical Director)

Michel Kennell holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Texas and is currently the choir director at the Lamar Middle School Fine Arts Academy. She is also the Assistant Music Director for the a cappella group Carpe Sono, which performed at New York City's Carnegie Hall in 2016 under the direction of Deke Sharon (Music Director for the movie "Pitch Perfect"). Her numerous honors include receiving all superior ratings for the Advanced Treble choir from Kealing Middle School at the University Interscholastic League Choir Contest and having the third highest number of students in the Region 13 area placed in the Texas Music Educators Association Middle School Honor Choir in 2022. She also had the opportunity to sing with awarded choirs, including Grammy award-winning Conspirare, a Company of Voices, on their recordings of the American Choral Directors Association Prize-Winning compositions "Holding Our Breath" & "Call Across," which premiered in 2021.

Clarie Wood (Choreography)

Claire Wood is currently an Associate Director of Dance at Lamar Middle School. She received her Bachelor of Finethrough Arts in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin and was certified to teach  the UTeach Dance program. She teaches ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and modern dance for students of all ages in public schools and dance studios. She also continues to perform and choreograph professionally in the Austin area. She would like to thank the cast, crew, and her fellow directors for their hard work.
