Note from the Director-
Dear Cast & Crew of the show,
Thank you for the past couple of hours, days, weeks and months. Thank you for an incredible night of theatre. With your performance and work, you have impacted an entire audience of people. You made us laugh. You made us cry. You made us think. You let us escape our world and enter yours, even for a brief moment. Something that after 2 years, we needed badly.
For some of you, this process wasn't always easy. Maybe your homework and teachers were stressing you out. Maybe you were fatigued at the end of the long tech week. Maybe your personal life was crumbling around you. Some of you maintained participation in a sport, academic endeavors and multiple musical activities all during a pandemic, half day schedule and more, a tremendously difficult feat. However, when the lights went down and the curtain opened, you left all of that behind and became your characters. We believed every second of it.
You may never know what your performance did for some of us tonight. You may have inspired a young child to want to become an actor or designer. You may have been the encouragement someone needed to get back up on that stage. You may have changed someone's life for the better. You could tell by everyone's face, your families and friends, how proud they are of you. I am so proud of you.
Remember, at the end of the day, why you got on that stage in the first place. You succeeded in doing something that only a few can say they've done, you performed and successfully ran a show. You dedicated yourself truly to the arts and to your audience. We clapped at the end of the show, but sometimes applause isn't simply enough. This is why I wanted to write this letter to you.
While we will never forget this performance nor experience, the best part is, we're coming back and we get to do this all again next year, and for many years to come. I love you all so dearly, and you have worked so hard. I could not be more proud.
