Notes from the Director

About seven years ago we saw Zombie Prom at Indiana Thespian State and it was a hit with all who saw it.  Since then we have been waiting for the right time to perform this show at Lake Central.  Now with the shortened amount of time we have to put on a musical due to the auditorium tear down, and with the popularity of zombies, whether it is the “Walking Dead” or “Plants vs. Zombies”, it seems now is the time.  Putting this show together this winter has been a challenge with Mother Nature canceling many rehearsals on an already shortened practice schedule.  However, the students and staff have dedicated themselves to keeping this show alive and not letting the elements “eat our brains”.  We would like to dedicate this show to all the casts and crews that have performed on this stage and all those still to come in the new facility.  Now please enjoy Zombie Prom as we travel back to the 1950’s of cheesy sci-fi movies and ridiculous fun.

As you may have read, LCTC is headed to Lincoln, Nebraska, to perform for the first time on the international stage!  Attending the Regional, State, and International Festivals costs money, and we work hard to keep costs low for students.

Enter Five Guys Burgers and Fries!  On February 19, ALL DAY, if you go to the Five Guys in Schererville, order some great Five Guys Food, and tell them you want your receipt donated to us, LCTC will receive up to 25% of the proceeds!  This money goes DIRECTLY to the students to cover their costs.
