This work centers on the spiritual searcher and merchant of purple cloth, Lydia, who is considered the first recorded convert to Christianity in Europe. A solo performed by dance artist, Grace Stern, the work emphasizes openness, seeking truth and divine intervention.

Lin developed this solo during the pandemic as a reflection of his artistic journey, which premiered at Penn Live Arts (formerly the Annenberg Center) in April 2021, supported by the National Endowment for the Arts. This version takes on new meaning through interpretation and performance by senior dance artist Weiwei Ma.
