Director's Note:
When choosing a show, I look for a few major qualifications: talent needs, space needs, and educational opportunities. Mamma Mia! was a show I felt we could successfully execute on those top three points. We have a very strong senior class of actors and designers. They were determined to make this production our best yet - meeting deadlines well in advance, taking on individual responsibilities to lighten the load on others, and having a "can-do" attitude on every front. Their tenacity made this year fun and fully engaged. They created a positive work environment for the underclassmen to feel valued and learn how to be leaders as well. I love the themes that we tackled with this show: family and identity. It gave some wonderful perspective and opportunities to play --something the students need in their stress-filled, anxiety-ridden lives. I'm glad these students found their place in the theatre and hope you enjoy watching the show as much as we did making it come alive.
To Railey, Olivia, Jackie, Eric, Hunter, Tyler, Cheyenne, Abby, Dakota, Hannah, and Hailey
I wish you the best in your future endevours. All my love.
