As I'm typing this, we have students on stage singing and dancing their hearts out, other students solidifying sets and props, and parents running errands that we just couldn't do ourselves. Matt and I are always so humbled and thankful for the help that comes when we need it most! Truly, we're blessed to live in such a great community.
This year, the dynamic in the cast has shifted from past years. We've been very intentional, even seeking help from Chellee Hilverda, the school counselor at RISE, to help us get into a groove of being kind to one another and to have an Outward Mindset! These kids are the best Kimberly has to offer. We're so thankful that the drama has stayed on the stage for the most part, and other than small tiffs and showmances (they are in high school, after all), the kids have been able to maintain a professional environment and excellent attitudes.
With a heart full of gratitude, we'd also like to thank so many people who have helped this year. Lorie Henderson, Connie Urlaub, Natalie Cooper, and Jessica Dannehl with costumes - they're stunning! To Andy Cluff and Jeff Cooper - the sound runs so smoothly when you're here! To Mandy Mills & family, Bruce Henderson, Brandon & Melissa Mitchell, Stacy & Jolinn Shaw, Chris Harrell and Joe Perry for helping with the sets and props and moving couches in for the VIP seats - thank you! To Caroline Riley, Emily Long, who took food over and let me step down, and to numerous other parents who brought food and sent snacks so the kids didn't get hangry during rehearsals - thank you! To McKenzie Sonderegger, for taking photos of the students, help with social media and playbill, we're so thankful. We're so thankful for administration that supports us in this endeavor, and for the maintenance staff who help us get the chairs set for the performances.
There are always those we forget to mention (sleep deprivation is real!), and to those of you we've forgotten accidentally, we are thankful for you too!
