    Darold Roles is thrilled to be back at Keyano Theatre after directing the hilarious production of Lend Me A Tenor, the mega-musical Mamma Mia! and the comical Drowsy Chaperone. His successes in the professional theatre and post-secondary education field include work as a director, choreographer, performer, producer, writer, teacher and respected administrative leader. He was the Artistic Director of Keyano Theatre through the 90’s.  He has fond memories from that time of creating hit productions for Keyano audiences such as; Joseph..., The Wizard of Oz and Evita. He was a co-founder and co-Artistic Director of KOMPANY!, a professional song and dance company that toured across Canada and internationally for 28 years.  As a director/choreographer he has received rave reviews for many exciting shows including; Beauty and the Beast, A Chorus Line, Chicago, Footloose, and The Crucible. Next up – come fly with him in the amazing Keyano production of Mary Poppins!

    Ron was very excited to be asked to return to Keyano to work on All Together Now!, which celebrates 40 wonderful years of Keyano Theatre productions! Ron has directed and/or choreographed several shows for Keyano Theatre including; Mamma Mia!, The Drowsy Chaperone, A Streetcar Named Desire, Narnia and Dark of the Moon.  He even got to perform in a couple of them; Crazy for You and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Ron’s passion for the Arts has taken him on a journey of over 45 award winning years as a professional artist in Canada.  He has worked in several communities throughout Western Canada where he has been heavily involved as a performer, director, choreographer and writer in dance, musical theatre, and film.  Recently, Ron nurtured young artists in his role as College President at the Canadian College of Performing Arts.  Ron has many fond memories working at Keyano and cherishes all the old and new friendships that this theatre has given him.
