Roslyn Frantz
Music Director
What a CHALLENGE and how fascinating is this show! Sondheim instructs us that songs are”sung” dialogue” not “ballads” or “arias’; in other words, conversationon pitches. The cast are 14 people singing as individuals in contemporary idiom but not blending as a “choir” or “ensemble”. We at KAS and our audiences are fortunate to experience this modern comment written by the master genius of Musical Theatre, Stephen Sondheim. ENJOY!
