Director's Note
Welcome to Journey Theatre’s presentation of Great American Tall Tales.
This show centers on a few Great Americans and the stories that their lives grew into overtime. Though they may not have been a real person, their stories represent many individuals who embodied attitudes prevalent in America during the period of expansion. They were characterized by determination, grounded in a realistic view of self and circumstance, and worked out by daily choices to be true and never give up.
As this cast and crew endeavors to work together to tell this Story, we have embraced the potential of each of our stories, and the power that they may have when told one to another. Collectively, and over time, they will add up to something invaluable. Our stories are our legacy to the generations who will follow us.
We hope you enjoy the show and are reminded of the lessons each of us can learn from these Great American Tall Tales
