Directors Note:

Welcome to Music Man Jr.! This musical classic will lift your spirits & have you singing and dancing (or marching) all the way home.

It’s been an absolute joy to work with these students on a show that is one of my all time favorites. This show is full of life, love, conflict and humor. In mythical “River City, Iowa”, we see a snapshot into human nature.  We sometimes judge others without getting to know them, make assumptions & gossip instead of seeking truth, or put up false fronts to keep people at arms length. We’re afraid of change, even when it’s needed. Though this is human nature, these things are also toxic to our lives.  Throughout this story of Harold Hill, we see an imperfect man, positively impact the mundane lives of the people in the town. He brings life and color to a town that has become a shell. However, Harold has lessons of his own to learn; he needs the community of River City just as much as they need him.

As you see these characters brought to life, I hope you’ll remember that the Truth really does set you free. Life is full when there’s love, excitement, community and forgiveness. God has called us to all of these things and I am so glad that we see them in this beautiful work. Enjoy!
