Director's Note:
'13' tells of Evan Goldman's coming-of-age story as he navigates his way through this difficult time in his life. He meets people along the way and discovers what it means to grow up.
I feel so incredibly lucky to have been able to work on this rewarding show, that was a challenging, mind-opening, and educational experience for myself, but more importantly, the cast and crew. I could not have asked for a more amazing, dedicated, and expressive group of students to work with.
I was their age when '13' originally came out, and it spoke to me then. As I've grown as a person over the years, the show and its themes only resonanted with me more and more. I personally felt this the perfect moment in time to direct this show and the chance to explore the themes and story with the the cast and you all watching today.
I was blessed to have had the perfect opportunity to do it with the perfect cast, with such great support from the community and the parents.
