Letter from the President

Every spring since I was a freshman I watched the seniors before me take the stage in their final show as a Phil.  I could see their excitment and nervousness as they prepared for what felt like their most important role at this school.  I remember waiting for my chance to share the stage with my classmates in my senior show and being anxious to find out what show it would be.  When I found out that we were doing The Producers, I was beyond excited to start preparing.

Walking into this production, I knew it was going to be more challenging than any musical I've done here at Jesuit.  Being one of the most contemporary shows ever done here, I knew it would pose a challenge to the entire cast.  At the auditions I saw so many new faces and so much talent.  I could tell this was a good group of kids to work with.  When the cast list came out and I found out I would be acting opposite my good friend Dominic as one of the producers, I was excited for both of us.  This was a chance we had been waiting for since we were freshmen in Evita together.  We eagerly began rehearsing for this monster of a show and I knew we'd put everything we had into these roles to make them the best for you.  The entire cast has done an outstanding job at working through this show to make it the best it could be.  I'm impressed by the work our cast and crew have done in these past few months.  Our crew has once again given us a beautiful set to work on and I can't thank them enough for their hard work.  I also feel like I need to mention our rehearsal pianist Matthew Wolff, a fellow Senior here at Jesuit.  Matt has worked with us for numerous shows and his great talent and professionalism has made him a great pleasure to work with over the years.
On behalf of everyone in the cast, crew, and production team, I hope you enjoy our show tonight.  We have continued to work hard to try and keep up the level of quality our shows have been.  So please sit back, relax, and most importantly, enjoy the show!
