I’m not myself today, today and ev’ry day, since I started working again at IHS! I’m grateful to all the men, women, and sandwiches that helped fuel the production of the show. Thank you to everyone for your generous support and for watching my back during this wonderful experience, especially “Mr. D,” Ms. Lake-Garcia, and Ms. Hansen. Thank you, also, to Ms. McCumber, Mr. Calvaresi, and Mr. Scatt for helping out with the pit orchestra. I’m very proud of those young musicians. They really busted themselves to get everything ready. Finally, thank you to the campus custodial staff, who always say, “I Got This!” After all of this and everything, I can definitely say that I have no more fear about teaching and directing again in Irvington!

I am thrilled to be back at Irvington this year. I am so proud of this cast and what they have accomplished with this show and I have really enjoyed working with them. There have been setbacks and a few difficulties along our journey, but they have come together as a community. They have persevered and continued to grow through it all. I hope you can see the joy in them as they perform and that they feel it too. We have discussed as a creative team that our main goal is for all students to have a safe place where they can be themselves and create together. I was so lucky to have a school theater program thanks to my parents and I am honored to help continue the tradition. To the seniors: Dream Big and please stay in touch. I can’t wait to see where life takes you.
