Dear Esteemed Guests,
Welcome you to our rendition of William Shakespeare's immortal tragedy, Macbeth. It is an immense honor to share our students' work with you, and I am profoundly thankful for your presence tonight.
I extend my deepest gratitude to the actors, whose talent and dedication have given life to these iconic characters. To the crew, whose meticulous work behind the scenes has woven the tapestry of our production. To the designers, whose creativity has transformed our stage into a world of enchantment and intrigue. To the volunteers, patrons, and everyone who has supported us on this journey, your belief in the power of the arts has made this possible.
As you immerse yourselves in the world of Macbeth tonight, I encourage you to embrace the complexities of the human experience that Shakespeare so brilliantly captures. Let the play challenge your thoughts, stir your emotions, and provoke your imagination. Together, let us celebrate the enduring magic of live theater and the profound impact it continues to have on our lives.
If you wish to continue to support our work, please find me or one of our Boosters in the lobby after the show. We would love to talk to you about the variety of volunteer opportunities we need filled. If you are a student at Interlake or will be soon, please consider signing up for a theatre class or showing up for an audition. This theatre is for everyone -- you will find your people within.
Enjoy the show!
