The Boy Friend - April 24 - May 02, 2015

Inglemoor High School

 Production Staff

Gretchen Stewart (Director & Producer)

Gretchen Stewart is enjoying her seventeenth production at Inglemoor; two as a choreographer, fifteen as a director. Being a High School Drama Teacher was always Gretchen’s dream job, and the opportunity to be at Inglemoor is exciting beyond comprehension.  Her children, Doug and Megan, both graduated from IHS, and her husband, Bob, started his teaching career here. As far as she is concerned, Mrs. Stewart has not only the best job in the world, she has the best people to work with.  “There is nothing like working with these creative young people to keep one young and energized.  I am so proud of each and every member of the cast, crew and orchestra.” Mrs. Stewart is appreciative of the adult production staff, as well as the phenomenal parent volunteers.  “Many thanks to all of them, without whom the show would not go on!”  Perhaps most of all, Gretchen would like to thank her amazing family.  Without their support and patience, she could not do what she does!  Mrs. Stewart has a B.A. in Drama Education and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Washington.

Teresa Sullivan (Musical Director)

This is Mrs. Sullivan’s tenth production at Inglemoor. "The Boy Friend" joins in a lengthy  list of productions that she has acted in, directed or played for. Teresa (Terry) attended Washington State University where she studied piano performance and piano pedagogy.  While there, she was a member of the University Choral Program and accompanied several Opera Workshop Productions.  Additionally, she performed in Summer Stock Productions such as “Jesus Christ Superstar” & “Stop the World, I Want to Get Off”. After Graduating with a Master of Music, Terry was asked to join the University faculty and taught class voice as well as taking the role of founder of the WSU Piano Pedagogy Laboratory School.  While working at WSU, Terry also attended the University of Washington (lots of driving) studying for her doctorate in Piano Performance. While teaching at the collegiate level was rewarding, she finds her first love to be high school music with the yearly musical being a highlight of each year! Terry would like to thank her husband TJ, for his continued support and great cooking!  It is so nice to be married to someone who understands one’s schedule as a high school teacher!  That could be because he does the exact same thing! Additionally, Terry would like to thank Gretchen Stewart for her efforts on all of our shows and her friendship.  Also, thank you to our outstanding students who make this effort so worthwhile!
