Hopkinton High School Drama Ensemble

 Acknowledgements

We are fortunate to have very talented and dedicated students helping out with rehearsals and set building.  Special appreciation to Angie O'Leary, Mat Tannenbaum, Juliet Findlen, and Alex Tannenbaum for their leadership and dependability.  We couldn't have done this without them.

Clorinda Kirshy does so much more than just costume the actors.  She collaborates with me from start to finish, honing the look of the show, and works very hard to make each student feel comfortable onstage.  Her own children have long since graduated from the high school drama program and yet she stays on and has agreed to do so until I retire in 2024 because we have so much fun watching the students take ownership of each production.

I would like the thank the people at Hopkinton Lumber for their guidance and support.  They generously donate paint and provide me with the materials I need to bring my set design to life onstage.

This fall has been filled with challenges.  I got Covid the day after auditions so was out of service for the first two weeks of rehearsal.  My partner in all of this, Isaac Brody, took the reigns so we wouldn't fall too far behind.  He also agreed to direct the pit orchestra when that position needed to be filled.  This is our eleventh musical together and I can honestly say he is the most talented musical director I have ever worked with.

The people at HCAM worked hard to get the word out that we were doing the show.  I am also grateful to HOPNews and The Hopkinton Independent for letting their readers know about our production.  It is nice to have the support of the local media and I trust that many of you are here because of the work they do.

Special thanks to Zapsplat.com for access to sound effects, free of charge.

I also would like to thank Mary Jo Rett and Eric Ziering for anwering the call when we were in desperate need of a keyboard player.  We would not have a show were it not for their generosity with their time and talent.

Finally, thank you to the administrators at the high school.  Evan Bishop, Justin Pominville, and Laura Theis daily demonstrate their support for my efforts to create a safe, artistically challenging, and supportive community for the cast and crew.
