Matt holds a Master's degree in Theater from Lamar University. He has over 130 productions as actor, director, and/or playwright; twenty years of that with a community theater named United Players. He has published ten shows, six one act plays and four full length comedies. Favorite rolls include: Tevye-UP, Don Quixote-UP, Daddy Warbucks-BAHBT, King Arthur & El Gallo.

Laney Carlin
as Golde
An accomplished director, singer, actress and teacher, Laney has spent most of her adult life directing and teaching in the Clear Lake/Friendswood area while raising a family. Laney was the Artistic Director at United Players and directed 40+ productions. She is a proud mom of two extremely talented sons, Nick & Noah. Laney is happy to be on stage with her "real-life Tevye," Matt!

MacKenzie is extremely grateful to be a part of HGT's inaugural production. Previous roles include: Hope Cladwell (Urinetown, directed by Derrick Bready), Millie Dillmount (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Gingy/Featured Dancer (Shrek) and Jo March (Little Women). Emily Lewis is currently a Junior at Webster University pursuing a BFA in acting. Previous shows/roles include: Indian Summer (Izzy), Rabbit Hole (Becca), A Doll's House (Nora) and Racing Demon (Frances). She is thrilled to play one of her dream roles and would like to thank her family and the entire cast and crew for this wonderful opportunity.

Thrilled to be a part of the first HGT production! A Junior in the BFA acting program at St.Edward's University, some past roles include Anna (Happy Mug) and Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls)! She would like to thank Mr. Bready and Mr. Fults for their guidance and direction, Dr. Jay for teaching and believing in her and her dad, mom and Kate for their unending love and support.
