Dr. Patricia Marchesi, Director
Patricia Marchesi first fell in love with theater when she was seven years old and her parents took her to watch the opera Carmen in Rio de Janeiro's Opera House. She began to participate in school theater at the Notre Dame school in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, and then continued at the Vienna International School when her family moved to Austria. She eventually came to the United States for college, then graduate school -- her PhD dissertation was (predictably) on English Renaissance drama and Shakespeare. She has attended workshops on performance at the Folger Shakespeare Library and written several musical librettos, the latest of which is based on Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North and South and was workshopped at the Dairy Center for the Arts, Boulder. Her most recent directing credit is Once Upon a Dream at the Center for Musical Arts (Lafayette, CO). She would like to dedicate her work in Cinderella to her beloved parents who always nourished her love of theater and literature. She would also like to thank everyone at Holy Family for the opportunity, her fellow directors for all their hard work, and the students in the cast and crew for their talent and dedication.

Siblings Patricia Marchesi and Marcia Marchesi in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
