Hello and welcome to Hillview Middle School's production of Meredith Willson's The Music Man. We have had a terrific jouney putting this wonderful show together and I hope you enjoy every minute!
The Music Man is full of iconic music and memorable characters. Immortalized by Robert Preston and Shirley Jones, the 1962 movie is an indelible part of American pop culture that has given audiences joy for half a century. An immediate hit in New York, the film's star, Robert Preston, actually took a break from performing in the Broadway show in order to make the movie.
Our students have had a wonderful time bringing these Iowans to life. And, we are so happy to share the fruits of all of our labor with you tonight. Sit back, relax, and be ready to hum these tunes for the next month!
