Elise Short
Director
Elise Short (Director) is directing her second show at HLT after going to school for her BFA in Musical Theatre at Florida Atlantic University. Elise has participated in many productions here at HLT since 2008 and is happy to be making her way back to her roots. Her recent credits as a director are Brighton Beach Memoirs, Assistant Director for A Higher Place in Heaven at HLT, Clue: On Stage at HLT and Richard III at FAU, and Acting Director for Savannah Sipping Society at HLT. She recently made her acting debut on the main stage as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. Elise is grateful to her friends and family for their love and support, always. Especially her husband, Kody Short, for his unwavering support and always having dinner ready after long nights! Love you all.

Tom Staik
Assistant Director
Tom Staik (Assistant Director) is happy to be a part of Liv After Death. He directed A Higher Place In Heaven, Clue: On Stage, Noises Off, and Liv After Death in the Drs. Thakkar Pavilion. His recent production experience has included assistant director for The Sound of Music, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Addams Family the Musical; lighting designer of The Sound of Music and 9-to-5 the Musical; costume designer for Addams Family the Musical, Oliver, and Arsenic and Old Lace; and production coordinator for Matilda. His day job is managing editor of The Herald-Advocate in Hardee County. The paper was named the best weekly newspaper this year by the Florida Press Association. He lives in Sebring with his dog, Rosey, and actively awaits the right person to swipe right

Mattie Bond
Assistant Director/Sound Tech
Mattie Bond (Assistant Director/Sound Tech) is 18 years old. She graduated from Sebring High School in May. Liv After Death won't be her first production, but her first time participating in the direction process. Mattie has been an eager volunteer at Highlands Lakeside Theater since she was 11, being involved with 27 shows. Her aspirations include getting further education in musical theatre. She is grateful to be in the New Directors program, and is excited for future opportunities.
