    Kaleb Mercado

    as Eugene

    Kaleb Mercado (Eugene) is sixteen years old. This will be his sixth main stage production. He has been seen in Oliver!, Shrek, We Will Rock You, and played Nigel in Matilda the Musical and Frisky in A Higher Place in Heaven. Kaleb has attended HLT’s Summer Theater Institute for seven years and has performed in each show as well as several productions at Sebring Middle School. He will be a Junior at Sebring High School where he is active on the Swim and Dive Team and Varsity Choir. He enjoys collecting vinyl records and attending concerts and Broadway shows.

    Jen Westergom (Kate) has been a member of HLT for 27 years and has directed many shows such as Les Miserables, Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia!, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder and Jesus Christ Superstar. She recently appeared as Morticia in The Addams Family Musical, Jinx in Savannah Sipping Society, Mrs. White in Clue, and in Maggie Mae Little Girl Blou. She would like to thank her husband who has always supported her in all things theater over the years.

    Margaret Macbeth (Blanche) is ecstatic to be returning to the main stage at Highlands Lakeside Theatre. She has most recently been seen as Scarlet Swayne in Happy Sad, which represented the state of Florida at the Southeast Theatre Conference. Other favorite roles include Truvy in Steel Magnolias, Sibella in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins, and Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire. Outside of performing, she is a proud mother of two and an adjunct instructor at South Florida State College. Margaret wants to especially thank her husband, Andrew, for his limitless support and encouragement of all her theatrical pursuits.
