Tay Sherill
as Deloris Van Cartier
Tay Sherril (Delores/ Sister Mary Clarence) has been seen on the HLT stage in such shows as Grease, The Marvelous Wonderettes, and Disenchanted on the Pavilion stage. I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Sister Act cast and very thankful for the continued love and support from my family and friends. To anyone who has ever doubted their abilities, never give up, work hard, strive to be the best YOU that you can be, and you’ll be Fabulous, Baby!

MJ Disco
as Mother Superior
Mary Jane Disco (Mother Superior) is pleased to add another Mother Superior to her resume. She's had a run of these roles including Sound of Music, Nunsense, Nuncrackers and Agnes of God. Mary Jane is grateful to have found Highlands Lakeside Theater. Although she has directed and produced for the Valley Light Opera, and written children's plays over the past 50 years, her greatest love is acting. She's had a long run of characters, with such greats as Mame, Miss Hannigan, Mama Peterson, Mrs. Sowerberry, Mrs. Higgins and all the Gilbert and Sullivan contraltos, to name a few. Mary Jane taught elementary school music for 28 years. Her greatest delight is watching her grandchildren follow in her footsteps. Her family is delighted that she is back onstage and have traveled from Massachusetts, California and New Hampshire to cheer her on. Her husband, Frank, is her greatest supporter. He is working behind the scenes and is happy to see her on stage once again.
