Mamma Mia audience,
I have been a fan of Mamma Mia for so long and now it is finally here! I am so excited to bring this fun, energetic, heart warming musical to the HLT stage. Get ready to take a trip down memory lane with the music of ABBA. I have such fun memories of singing along to the music of ABBA on 8 track as a child.
One of the lines in Mamma Mia is "Without a song or a dance, what are we?" I truly believe this. Theater has been such a blessing in my life. I love it to my core - the creativity, performing, leadership, long nights, tears, laughter, emotion, hard work, drama, joy... I could go on and on with all the feels. I know my cast and crew feel the same way. It drives us to grow and do better in all aspects of life. I am truly grateful for the people at HLT and the audiences that come to see our shows.
My cast members are such wonderful, committed people and have far exceeded my expectations. Thank you for the long nights, sore muscles, tireless notes, and time away from your loved ones. Thank you for the hugs, bonding moments, laughs, and friendships that we have made over the last few months. I appreciate every single one of you more than you know. You fill my heart with pride and love.
I can not thank the people on my production team enough. You will forever have a place in my heart. I hope I have personally thanked each one of you with a hug, a smile, and some kind words along the way. You are the unsung heroes. I am forever grateful for your talents, time, and passion.
I would also like to thank the board of directors, committee chairs, members, and volunteers that work tirelessly behind the scenes. You are the heartbeat of HLT. Thank you for all that you do to keep our doors open.
Lastly, I want to thank my sweet husband, Bill. Because of you, I can spend a crazy amount of time doing something I love and then come home to someone I love like crazy. Thank you for taking care of me.
