The Little Mermaid - March 16 - March 17, 2018

Highland High School

 DIRECTOR'S NOTES

What a cast! What a crew! What a production team! What a show!

Of my thirty-five years associated with the theater program here at Highland, I am always impressed with the seriousness, commitment, and overall “family” community this experience develops. Each person involved in the progress of this presentation stepped up to the great challenge this, a Disney show, set before them. I am pleased with the drive of this cast to make this show an experience that you will not forget. But more importantly, this is an experience that this cast and crew will long remember. It has been, and continues to be, my goal to help students find their “niche” via the arts. I want them to be associated with an activity that sparks a new area of interest in their life. I want to encourage risk-taking and have my cast and crew attempt to do something that is difficult and challenging at the least. And above all to take all these attributes and display them with grace and finesse, confidence, and pride and yet be humble with their talents and skills. What a FUN gang to be with and together create an incredible experience for everyone to enjoy.

I hope you enjoy this show as we bring to Highland the Broadway stage show, The Little Mermaid.

Curtain!
