OUR DIRECTORS

Sarah Rosenthal (Director) is a Hemenway elementary school alumni. She graduated from Framingham public schools and got her bachelors and master's degree from Westfield State University and Lesley University. She currently works in Newton public schools as a special education teacher. Sarah's past directing credits include Starfun theater camp, the 25th annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Westfield State University) among many more. She has loved this opportunity to work so closely with her dad and these incredible fifth graders. She hopes everyone enjoys the show.

Jonathan D. Rosenthal (Musical Director) Proud father of director Sarah Rosenthal, Mr. Rosenthal has taught Music in the Marlborough Public Schools for thirty years. Currently the K-12 Supervisor of Music, Mr. Rosenthal is the former Director of the MHS Concert Band and String Ensemble, as well as teaching General Music at both the Elementary and Middle school levels. With a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Keene State College and a master’s degree in Music Education from Gordon College, this will be Mr. Rosenthal’s first year as Musical Director for the Hemenway Elementary School’s Fifth Grade Musical. Mr. Rosenthal is the former Musical Director for Marlborough High School, where he had the privilege of directing the music for 21 consecutive years. He is so impressed with this wonderful cast and adult helpers and thanks everyone for their contribution. Lastly, he would like to thank his gracious family for allowing him to be involved with this wonderful show.
