About the Student Choreographer:

Lina DeBonis

     Lina has graced this year's HMS Drama Club production as this year's student choreographer!  Lina’s time as the choreographer has been amazing and she is so grateful for the experience that this year's production provided!

     Our choreographerhas always been interested in theater from a very young age, but her greatest passion is dance. She works hard at her dance studio, taking 3 dance classes a week while participating in many clubs and maintaining good grades!

     Last year played the role of Babkak in the HMS spring 2022 production of Aladdin Jr! Ms. Jones saw Lina's passion for dance and asked her if she would be interested in choreographing this year's production. Lina enjoyed being in the play, Lina, after much deliberation, jumped at the opportunity! And we're so glad that she did!

     While Lina loves performing, she believes that being behind the scenes is just as much fun! It takes a lot of hard work and responsibility to be the choreographer but, teaching all of her peers the choreography makes it all worth it. Seeing the dances that she made up in her room actually come together on stage is one of the best things to happen. Most of all Lina loves seeing the other kids be excited and happy to learn choreography and seeing them practice. 

     Lina would like to give a special shout-out to Mrs. Grant, her HMS Dance teacher. I couldn’t have done it without her help. When I was stressed and didn’t know what to do, Ms. Grant was there to help and give me tips!" Ms. Grant always encourages her to be the best version of herself, and she couldn’t have done it without Mrs. Grant's guidance.
