Intimacy Directors provide a structure and common language around consent, communication, choreography and context in a theatre production, film set, or other live performance. In a learning environment, an Intimacy Director sets an age-appropriate standard for how students physically and emotionally interact in a play, helps students advocate for their needs and comfort in playing a part, and ensures student’s agency over their bodily autonomy.
