as Beetlejuice

From the moment Preston Gillis strutted onto the stage as Angel in Rent his freshman year, he was hooked. Since then, he’s performed as Sonny Malone in Xanadu, Frank Churchill in Emma, and now—he’s beyond thrilled to take on the role of Beetlejuice! Playing this character has been an absolute dream, and he still can’t believe he gets to bring the big juice to life. 

He is involved behind the scenes desinging and building sets and create props. The creativity, the friendships, the late nights covered in sweat and sawdust has been unforgettable part of his high school journey.

He wants to send a huge thank you to his mom, dad, Julia, Kayden, Yaya, Jess, Grandparents, Mrs. Flynn, Mrs. Zavadil, Phil Schuyler, Mrs. Jennings, Mrs. Simpson, the technical team, and the entire cast and crew. You’ve all made this journey so special. Now, It’s Showtime!

Salvatore Ambrosino has been doing the Drama Club since the 4th grade, starting off with the show Alice in Wonderland. Then from there, he’s performed in Peter Pan, Legally Blonde, Elf, Rent, Xanadu, Emma: A Pop Musical, and ending it with Beetlejuice. Out of the 9 shows he’s been in, Rent and Xanadu have been his all-time favorites, and hopes Beetlejuice can join that list. 

He would love to thank the directors Mrs. Flynn, Mrs. Zavadil, Mrs. Simpson, Mrs. Jennings, Mr. Schuyler, and his past directors for all of the neverending hard work they’ve put into these productions. He would also love to thank Mr. B, a retired director, for all the support he’s shown to me and the rest of the Drama Club during his retirement. The Drama Club has been an important part of Salvatore’s life, and it wouldn’t have been possible without these people.
