Good evening,
I hope you know what you're in for! If you haven't seen the original movies, I assume it will be a surprise. If you have, it still will be!
I've had a deep love of horror movies since it was probably even appropriate to. I'm sure my parents can attest to the number of nights I kept myself up in mortal fear that the images would come to life. The Evil Dead movies were a particular favorite, they were made to be laughed at as well as spooked by. Tonight's show is a celebration of the exuberance of horror, the spirit of the chainsaw, and the music of the shotgun.
Shows like this don't happen without the input and effort of far more people than you can find in this program, and this production would not have been have been possible without their remarkable generosity. Many of the groups that have shared this space have donated much in time and material, and so many local businesses have helped us along the way this year. If you see them in this program, they've done something critical for us along the way. Be sure to check them out.
Also, no show happens with just a director and a cast. The production team has spent a monumental amount of time to bring this evening from conception to reality. The names in this program have put in thousands of hours over the course of nearly a year to see this through. Give them a hug. They earned it.
Ghost Light Theater would not exist without the support and generosity of the Shea board. They have been as dedicated to us as we are to them. We can't thank them enough. If you see them, give them a hug.
Thank you for joining us. Enjoy the performance!
