The Poe Project lives under the umbrella of nonprofit Geek Parties of the Grand Valley and hosts Poe Week in Grand Junction, Colorado every year during the first week of October with performances, readings, art, and other events to celebrate the life, works, and death of American author Edgar Allan Poe. This year we invite an online environment to spread Poe's work throughout the community. 

 

 

Events for 2020 kickoff with Poe-Mythology Oct 1 and Grand Junction Downtown's First Friday live at the Buffalo, 4th and Main, on Oct 2. Online events are featured on Facebook; more information is available at https://www.facebook.com/poeprojectgj.

 

 

Oct 1 - 7. Poe-Mythology: Nothing Stays Buried

Oct 2. First Friday Readings at the Buffalo

During the First Friday Artwalk from 7-8:30 enjoy listening to a reading performance in front of the Chrome Buffalo at 4th and Main. Stay and listen a while or drop by in between gallery visits.

 

Oct 3. Who Killed Edgar Allan Poe? Murder Mystery

Event is held online. Start your investigation at midnight on Oct 3 and finish by midnight on Oct 5. Hosted by Mesa Murder Mysteries and The Poe Project. 

 

Oct 5. Cool Story, Poe

Event is held online from 7:00-8:00pm. Your hostess will postess Poe memes, comics, puns, music videos, spoofs, and all kinds of Poe-tastic fun! There will be prizes! Please participate in comments! 

 

Oct 6. Escape Room

Event is held online from 6:30-8:30pm. Gather your team of 4-8 and get online for clues. Set up your Messenger, Zoom, FaceTime, or whatever platform you choose, and collaborate for this amazing Edgar Allan Poe themed escape room! There will be moderators available from 7:00-8:00pm, if needed. When you solve the puzzles and submit all your answers, celebrate with a post!
