DEDICATION TO MR. LANAGHAN:
Robert Lanaghan, music teacher and committed member of our Performing Arts program for 22 years, passed away on May 8, 2024. Mr. Lanaghan retired in February of 2024 after many years of service to students and colleagues at Fort Hamilton. His loss impacts our entire community, especially after a long tenure of service to students and the school. He will be fondly remembered and missed.
Mr. Lanaghan inspired our vocal students and led our Concert Chorus and Mixed Chorus. He also taught Vocal Training classes and guided many students performing in front of an audience for the first time. He collaborated on our spring musical productions as the Musical Director for many years. He was a central part of our Performing Arts program and we mourn his loss while also remembering his contributions.
