  “Building Drama Programs, Building Communities”

Elyria High School Drama has partnered with Cleveland Play House for the “Building Drama Programs, Building Communities” program, funded by the Nord Family Foundation. “Building Drama Programs, Building Communities” is a forum of school partnerships and community collaboration.  A dedicated group of six schools (three Lorain County, three Cuyahoga County) have embarked on a journey of either creating or enhancing after-school theatre programs at their schools with the support of the Education Department at Cleveland Playhouse.  Over two years, each school will experience specialized training of teachers and students at the schools, arts and educational experiences at the theatre, cultivation of advocacy from district administrators, and culminating performances of school shows performed at Cleveland Play House.
