From the Director:
Noises Off is one of those plays that is well known in theatre circles but not so in the general public. It is a farce complete with mistaken identities, doors slamming, fast paced timing and a touch of slapstick thrown in for good measure; difficult to perform for any group and very difficult for high schools students. I've been asked to produce this play for years and always turned it down waiting for the right cast and the right circumstances. Well I found my cast. It turns out that once you know you have a great cast, the circumstances take care of themselves.
It is the story of a group of actors muddling through the process of producing a farce called "Nothing On". The process of this production stresses everyone to the max, especially the poor Director, Lloyd, and by the end of the production we all feel his pain as he tries to free the production from the grasp of mayhem. I can certainly empathize with Lloyd having had to cope with snow days, illness in the cast and college auditions that cancelled rehearsals and yet we all hung in there and here you have it, Noises Off; in full farce. Have fun and if you feel the need to laugh out loud, please do, it makes us happy!!
Welcome Mr Marc Moritz!!
I want to welcome Mr. Marc Moritz who is our Master Teacher/Mentor with the CPH partnership. We have already benefitted from his contributions and I look forward to taking our students theatre experience to new levels with his assistance.
Peace, love, drama!
