Eisenhower Jr. High School

 End Notes

DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Welcome to the first performance Eisenhower Jr. High School's auditorium has seen in over a year! We cannot thank you enough for spending an evening with us! Without your help, we could not continue to produce these experiences for our students and community.

Over the course of the past year, there has been time for reflection. Like many of our students, Ellie Blake is frustrated about not feeling heard and under pressure to fit expectations. Through magical circumstances, she and her mother, Katherine Blake, find themselves literally walking a mile in each other's shoes.

Through rehearsals, I have been overwhelmed with the level of commitment and dedication from our students. Together, they have created an experience where everyone feels welcome and can connect to the core of our story; friends, family, understanding and acceptance.

This cast and crew have been asked to move forward in uncertain times and they have inspired us here at Eisenhower with their "I Got This" attitude. They reach out and recognize there is common ground while still celebrating differences. This approach strengthens our community, just like we see with the Blake family.

Thank you for joining with us tonight as we "hunt" for ways to find connections with the people around us!
