Director's Note
Six years ago Eagles' Wings Studio had a bumper crop of new students in our newly formed Junior Company class. The teachers felt certain that with instruction, time, and student practice these young students could develop musical theatre skills that would be an incredibly important asset in all aspects of their lives. Spring 2024 marks the graduation of seven of those students from that inaugral year, having participated in Eagles' Wings Studio from 5 to 7 years. The product of their labors is on display in this production of Les Miserables. Our hearts are bursting with exhiliaration to see and hear our dreams unfolding in these young adults.
Some of you may know my recently deceased father, (Doc) William Dailey, and my mom, Eleanor, who have had a immense impact on me in their demand for excellence, always striving to improve, never stopping in pursuit of better-honed skills, hearing more, understanding at a deeper level, and so much more. This production of Les Miserables is a tribute to the many skills that they modeled. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be stretched and challenged by this beautiful story, and it's soaring musical score. The many volunteers that have poured hours of time into our regular classes, sewed costumes, kept the books, organized the props, designed costumes, built the set, took the pictures, made props, served on our board of directors, made the social media posts and coordinated outreach events, thank you! You've made it all possible.
