I AM SO GRATEFUL
Our wonderful children - I am constantly amazed at how the older more experienced actors guide and help the younger and newer members of the cast - It is exciting to see them learning leadership skills and taking on directing roles!
At my side all this year have been my two head counselors, both of whom have been a part of Drama-Works since they were eligible at 5 years old. Sarah Behrman has spent the major part of the year ensuring that the children knew all their ‘Scales and Arpeggios’ and Denny Busi has been my right hand focused on acting and dance rehearsal. Sarah and Denny were ever reliable making sure that all was set up and ready for each rehearsal and welcoming our young actors as they arrived each week.
They were supported by an eager and helpful group of new CIT’s: Emelia Field, Lucas Gomolka, and Gaby Fuller.
We were excited to have an extra team of helpers join in the final rehearsals as we moved to the theater who were led by another lifelong Drama-Works actress, Ariella Green. Thank you to Isabella Jimenez, Isabella Ranade, Jack Stone, Allison Maliga, Jasmin Gil, Maria Pont Garcia.
Grateful thanks to Nicole Perry for the simple and effective dance choreography. It is quite incredible how in a short space of time she is able to teach the children an entire show of dances.
Through all adversity Lisa Lubinsky never lets us down - I am so excited with the amazing creative costumes. Lisa, it was worth your drives back and forth from Orlando to be here as costume mistress. I am so grateful.
This is the sixteenth year that Boca Prep International school has given Drama-Works the opportunity to learn and rehearse in such a beautiful environment and we were excited this year to work in conjunction with the Boca Prep Lower School Theater performance program. I would like to take the opportunity to thank our head of school Mr. Stan Daniel for a wonderful year together and to all the Boca Prep staff for the obliging way they help whenever and however they can. A special shout out to Juan and Victor and to Andre for the design of the flyer and tickets.
