Chris Nelson
Director/Producer
Chris Nelson is in his seventh year as the proud theatre director at Downey High School and he could not be happier to be working in the Downey Theatre again. After earning his Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Southern California, he embarked on an acting career throughout the state of California. In 2000 he played the lead roles of both Charles and Cal Trask in a marathon production of East of Eden in Salinas. Upon returning to Los Angeles he began working with Shakespeare by the Sea and ended up performing professionally in thirteen different Shakespeare plays over the next two decades. At the same time he became a middle school teacher in Redondo Beach and began directing plays and musicals with younger children. Since he began at Downey High School he has directed A Midsummer Night's Dream, Into the Woods, You Can't Take It With You, Grease, Our Town, In the Heights, Beauty and the Beast, Almost, Maine, Clue, A Chorus Line, and Puffs.

Jef McClure
Music Director
Jef grew up in San Jose, where he performed with the award winning Children's Theater of San Jose. He attended USC, studying Theatre Arts and voice. He is an actor and a drummer. Jef is returning to honor the DHS Theatre Dept with his talents for the fifth time. Jef was also the music director for Into the Woods, Grease, In the Heights, Beauty and the Beast, and A Chorus Line.

Kei'la Ryan
Choreographer
Kei'la is an actor and model with a degree in Theatre and Dance form Texas A&M. Her favorite theatre credits include Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and August: Osage County. She has been the invaluable choreographer for the DHS productions of Grease, In the Heights, Beauty and the Beast, and A Chorus Line. She recently debuted her directing talents in a Hollwood production of The Last Five Years

Jeff Toussieng
Set Designer
After a thrity year career with the Downey Police Department running the D.A.R.E. and S.A.N.E. programs Jeff decided to volunteer his stage construction and lighting talents to the youth and religious communities in Downey. Last year he did a masterful job creating the Clue set, then blessed the department with his talents by assembling the glassless mirrors in A Chorus Line, and has done it once again with the superb set before you all today.
