Normally at this time of year, we are preparing to finish the first semester and have at least a month left to prepare for the musical. With our earlier start to the school year, the Class of 2017 is already completing their final major production here at Dougherty Valley High School! Some have been with the program since their freshman year, while others are appearing in their first production. I would like to take a moment to thank them for the work they have done.
Francis Arroyo - You came in as a shy and quiet student with a tremendous amount of potential, and I am proud to have been able to see you grow and strive to reach that full potential! Trust yourself! You are capable of achieving more than you think and I can't wait to see where your talents take you!
Jocylin Bovet - I'm so glad that you're back to bookend your time in high school by being a part of our musicals! It's been a long time since you were in my English class and performing in Aida, but it's been a lot of fun having you back on stage!
Megan Burgess - Thank you for your dedication to our musicals for the past four years! It's always wonderful to work with a person who has such a dedication to the art of theatre! Good luck as you go off into the world of performing arts! We'll be watching to see what comes next for you!
Michael Favorito - It's been so much fun having you in class the past few years, and I'm so happy that you are now able to join us on stage, especially in such a fun role! It's been such a joy watching you bring so much positive energy to this role!
Ben Marston - Thanks for joining us on this adventure! I hope that your first show with us was as fun as it is to have you in class!
Jaiden McCrann - You were a pleasure to work with during In-Laws, Outlaws..., and you were a pleasure to work with on this show! I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did!
Jessica Ocampo - I'm so glad that you joined us for this show! The passion you've shown for every aspect of the production shows on stage and I couldn't be more proud of you! Thank you for the great care you took in making sure that your character turned out exactly as I wanted! I've loved working with you!
Rebecca Okmin - Where do I even begin? Thank you for your dedication to this show and this program! I can never tell you how much I appreciate you and all that you have done for me and the Theatre program here at DVHS! Thank you for finally making an appearance on stage this year! I look forward to seeing how far you go (trust me, it's farther than you think)!
Vanathi Sunderaraman - It's been a joy to work with you over the past two musicals! I hope that you had as much fun on stage as I had working with you!
Veronica Van Avermaete - I've enjoyed watching you grow as an actress and love your dedication to the performing arts! I'm sure there will be many more opportunities for you once you graduate!
Bethany Vega - It's going to be strange not seeing you in the Drama Room everyday, since that's been the norm for the past eight years! I'm proud of your dedication to art and everything else you do!
