Corey Lombardo, Director & ELA Teacher
Corey Lombardo is an ELA and News Media teacher here at Danville Middle School. He has assisted with the DMS Drama Club for six years now co-directing and leading the audio/visual production team on Little Women, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Sherlock Holmes: The Baker Street Irregulars, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Here in year six, he is overjoyed to be involved with our DMS Drama Club’s most melodramatic and character-driven show, Persephone. He would like to thank Ms. Simatos for bringing him on board for the journey. He is thankful for an amazing crew of students and a dedicated, talented cast of future stars. He also has a message for this year’s cast and crew, “The progress we have made together is immense and it has been a joy upon joy to see everyone grow into the real-life versions of larger-than-life Greek heroes. I am sure that this is only the beginning. Good luck, break a leg, and fight hard, team!” *knocks on wood right after Ms. Simatos

Yassou!
Imagine being in middle school and learning two full shows in one year—memorizing hours of dialogue, movement and cues before you even turn 14, then performing it for a crowd. That’s exactly what our middle school drama students have done. They’ve put in the time, done the work, and now they’re ready to show you what they’ve created.
Like heroes of old, we've embarked on a journey together—learning the language of the gods, forging connections as a cast, and breathing new life into a myth that has echoed through the ages. It has been an honor to rekindle this timeless tale and share it once more with the world.
Thank you to all of the dedicated students and staff that made our seventh year so much fun. Wild, but fun. I'd especially like to thank Corey for being my ultimate drama club ride or die. I genuinely appreciate how we navigate this adventure every year. Here's to more laughs, soda and collaborative eye rolls as we take on the "great and powerful". *knocks on wood*
S'agapo!
