Nathan Detroit: I grew up in a tough neighborhood my mother and father passed away when I was four. Darn scallops got them. Growing up on the streets forced me into crime. I started my crap game and everyone loved it. The real reason I have the game isn’t because I want more money, I just love to make people happy, but the money does help. Oh yeah and I’ve had a fiancé for fourteen years, but who wants to hear about that. My life is beginning to change for the better;some would say I might be forced to the stop the game due to these stupid New York police. At least my friends will always be here for me.

I have been going to Dakota Valley since the fourth grade, and since the day I started here, I was a quiet and shy. During the beginning of freshman year, I was terrified because of all the new people I’d have to interact with, and just the fact that I was in high school terrified me. That all changed when two of my best friends forced me to try out for the fall play. I decided I would take a chance and do it. I honestly believe that trying out for the play changed my life, and helped me survive my freshman year, since I met so many new friends. Now it’s my sophomore year and I have an amazing part in this years’ play, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
