About Crossroads
Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences (www.xrds.org) is a K-12, coed college preparatory school in Santa Monica, California. Crossroads was founded upon five basic commitments: to academic excellence, to the arts; to the greater community; to the development of a student population of social, economic and racial diversity; and to the development of each student's physical well-being and full human potential. One in four students receives financial assistance. The School is highly acclaimed for its academic programs and is a leader in public/private educational partnerships.
About Summer at Crossroads
Summer at Crossroads offers a comprehensive program that models its philosophy and coursework on the Crossroads academic year curriculum. By choosing one course or building a full-day schedule, students are challenged to develop skills, to enjoy learning and to grow in areas of special interest.
Summer at Crossroads is open to the public, with more than 750 students enrolled in over 60 courses that are taught or led by more than 120 faculty or staff.
Our summer students represent a diverse population coming to us from over 70 California zip codes. During the school year, these enrollees attend more than 150 different public, private and international schools.
In an effort to support the socio-economic diversity of our summer student population, financial aid awards are available through our Tuition Reduction Fund to lower the cost of classes. Over 140 students who do not attend Crossroads in the fall received some percentage of tuition reduction.
Many of our students return to participate summer after summer, and they and their parents tell us that they are thrilled with their positive experiences in our programs.
Thank you for spending time with us this summer.
