In November of 2019, Company 'N Tempo students stood on stage in the production of Disney's Frozen Jr. It was the 13th annual fall musical for CNT. Performers, staff, crew, parents and community members celebrated an amazing production and looked forward to what musical would be produced next.
Two years and a pandemic later we are still looking forward to what musical we will produce next. We knew it was not financially feasible for us to put on a full scale musical this fall. There was too much of a chance for cast members missing frequent rehearsals due to quarantine protocols and not enough projected ticket sale revenue with restricted seating.
Music Theatre International (MTI) announced earlier this year that they were licensing All Together Now! as a way for local theatre groups to raise funds after theaters were closed from the pandemic. Today you will see our amazing young performers sing 15 songs from different Broadway musicals.
The concept of this musical revue has allowed us to keep performers in small groups, keep scenery, costume and prop needs minimal, have limited rehearsal contact and most importantly raise funds to help sustain our programs.
Zero indoor performances in two years means zero revenue from ticket sales, which is one of the main sources of funding to keep performing arts alive.
With that being said, we thank you for purchasing your ticket for today's show! We thank you for being a patron. We appreciate every donation and every purchase.
Our goal is to continue to bring performing arts opportunities to our community and enrich the children of our community.
So what musical will we do next.....? Whatever it is, we hope to see you there!
